Today, January 3, 2012, I lost one of my best friends, Callie. She was the epitome of what I think of when I consider Thunder Hill. Loving, full of life and always on the go. Never met a stranger, four-legged or two-legged. She met me every day happy to see me and would make her mad dash around her kennel run. She must have had at least fifteen collected bones and her favorite spot was on top of her dog house where she would greet the world with her barks.

Today that run ended in her death. A huge tree must have snapped as she made her loop and hit her. She had no apparent injuries. My guess is that it hit her head and bounced her back breaking her neck. She would have been seven this January 14th.

Callie had one litter many of you know (Murphy, Buddy, Jackson and Moxie). The Soul litter! All four were finished and three made the top 20 list and better for two years! This litter was the highlight of my life. Thank you Callie for being in my life and for cheering me on every day, for not being there to protect you and for giving me your best. I will miss you always!
